My name is Marites. I live in a place called Cabadbaran, on the north west coast of Mindanao, an island a bit bigger than Tasmania. Mindanao is the second biggest island in the Philippines, and it has the same population as Australia. It's tropical, with a climate like that of Far North Queensland. Sometimes we have typhoons, a bit like your cyclones.
Have a look at my photos. Some of them are small, to reduce loading time (it's not easy keeping a home page simple). I hope they will give you some idea of what I look like. Let me know if you want to see more, and I'll attach some larger copies for you.
Physically, I am petite, with a slim figure. We Filipinas stay out of the sun, so we don't age so much. That's why our beaches are empty. My skin is light and soft, so I look younger. My hair grows long, but sometimes I have to cut it. I cannot pretend that I am tall, but I have long legs, and occasionally I like to wear short skirts. I hope you like what you see.
I love being active, but I like quiet evenings at home too. I sometimes enjoy karaoke (this is big in Asia, and starting to become popular in Oz and Kiwiland). Dancing and singing are good ways to spend an evening. But like all Filipinas, I like to have a happy home in a peaceful neighbourhood. Once in a while I like to dress up and go out for dinner, which is not so expensive here.
Naturally friendly and easy-going. Enjoy good conversation. My English is good, but I speak with a bit of an accent. But then, who doesn't? I like to talk about almost anything, and I love to meet people. I am quiet, sincere, and obedient. One day I'd like to meet the right man, to take care of him so he has no more worries.
I am a single mother, with a son at home. He is doing well at school. I am in my mid-thirties. For many years I have had help from a foster parent in Australia. I try to run a small business to take care of my needs and those of my son. My home is humble, but it's OK for us.
Because of the help I have got from Oz, I want to meet Australians and Kiwis, from any part of the either country. I know a bit about Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, because I have friends there. They tell me that it can cost as much to fly from Melbourne to Cairns as from Brisbane to Manila. I have heard all about the cities and the shopping centres and the parks and gardens. We don't see so many of them here. One day I'd like to see Australia. I'd like to meet a man who will want to take care of me, a man who wants someone to cook, wash, clean and care for him, and manage his house. If he is willing to take care of me, I'll be happy to serve him. Is there a man like that out there?
